Original Shetland Paintings
This collection of original Shetland paintings brings together works shaped by the islands’ light, land, and atmosphere. Each piece is painted from direct experience, reflecting the quiet presence of croft houses, the movement of coastal weather, and the subtle colour of the natural landscape.
As part of a wider body of original Scottish landscape paintings, these works are grounded in observation yet guided by interpretation. Texture, tone, and composition are carefully balanced to create paintings that feel considered and enduring.
For those looking to buy original coastal art in the UK, this collection offers work that is both distinctive and closely connected to place. Every painting is an individual response to Shetland — its openness, its stillness, and its shifting light.
A selection of Shetland artwork for sale is available below, with each piece offering a lasting connection to Scotland’s northern landscape.
