Sophie and the rest of the team at Shetland Jewellery came up with a beautiful prototype which Avril went out to view at the workshop. 

She even got the chance to enamel some of the first pieces ever made!

The collaboration was officially launched at the 2023 Christmas Craft Fair and in the gallery where reviews were overwhelmingly positive, with people loving the colours and uniqueness of the designs. Quickly after more products were launched, including smaller pendants, earrings, bracelets and rings.

A year later after the success of the original designs, Avril and Sophie came up with a new design of the Lodberrie - or better known as Jimmy Perez’s house. It is currently available as a pendant and earrings, and has been a firm favourite with the visiting tourists.

Each piece is handmade with love and care in the Shetland Jewellery workshop and is the perfect homage to both Avril’s artwork and the beautiful Shetland landscapes. Who knows what might be next!
